The Dallas/Fort Worth Founders’ Day Committee is comprised of five chapters: Beta Mu Omega (Fort Worth), Xi Theta Omega (Arlington), Tau Rho Omega (Carrollton/Lewisville), Upsilon Lambda Omega (Cedar Hill/DeSoto/Duncanville/Lancaster), and Chi Zeta Omega (Richardson/Plano).

Since 1985 this committee has collaborated on events that honor the illustrious founders of our beloved sorority. Additionally, we use this time to honor those members that have achieved twenty-five, fifty, and seventy-five years of, “Service to All Mankind” in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. This year’s theme, “Global Service, Global Leadership, Global Sisterhood”, celebrates the impact of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® on the global community.

DFW Founders' Day Luncheon

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex Chapters, will celebrate 104 years of Service to all Mankind at the annual Founders' Day Luncheon on Saturday, January 28, 2012.

Founders' Day commemorates January 15, 1908, as the founding date of the sorority over one hundred years ago. Founders' Day not only honors the sorority's great beginning, but it honors the founders and the women that ensured the sorority's existence and continuation.

Gwendolyn J. Brinkley, South Central Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is the speaker for this year's celebration in Duncanville, Texas.
